The Studio For Actors - Acting Showcase Performances

Every eight weeks, there is a showcase at The Studio, giving students an opportunity to work with a live audience. The first half of the showcase is comprised of scenes from the scene study class and monologues from private study, followed by an intermission. The second half of the showcase is a performance by the advanced comedy improv students.

It’s a great evening for the audience (invited friends and family of the students) as well as for the students, who have a chance to see pieces from three to five very different playwrights, and incredibly funny comedy improv.

Students perform on the same stage they’ve used for weeks of rehearsal, and an intimate audience of 40 adds to the feeling of confidence during the first few months of training.
